Tallahassee recorded the record 1 day rainfall total yesterday of 4.49 inches ! That is double the previous record . We also hade some tornadic action locally and 7 of the cross bay power pole going to St George Island were broken leaving the Island without power . here is an e mail form the Apalachicola Bay chamber of commerce with an update on the situation :

Larry Watson, Community Relations for Progress Energy, called to say that crews brought in a generator last night that they believe will restore power to the whole Island. They expect to have it up and running by late this afternoon or this evening. It will provide temporary power to the Island until Progress Energy can restore the main transmission lines across the bay.

An the following day we had 2+ inch hail in Eastpoint . Ive got the dent in my truck to prove it !!!!
