Decisions......decisons

I have the most generic question, and most subjective as well. I'm a firm believer in catamarans, and am planning on purchasing a trailerable catamaran for personal fishing and bopping around the Texas gulf coast when I return from a 12 year overseas assignment. I sold my old 25' Wellcraft CC cuddy in Oman, and agree that monos beat the heck out of one in rough seas.
I'm getting more and more sold on the Tom Cat, vs Twin Vee 26 footers (trailerable). Give me the skinny..........beside the obvious cabin features of the Tom Cat, which is the better boat, comparably equipped? Price is definitely an issue. I may be looking for a skipper to charter the thing for Dolphin?Kings?etc., when I'm not using it as well.

Well the first thing that comes to mind is are you overnighting or another way to look at it is are you going to want cruising capabilities ,.and what level of comfort do you need . The Twin Vee is rather spartan in its appointments and the Tomcat is very comfy and can have an A/C rigged on it and is able to go for weeks exploring . It is pricier than the Twin Vee , but its another class of boat with different construction methods and philosophy . We have a waiting list for the Tomcat 255s  and they are creating quite a stir . The Twin Vee has more bang for the buck in terms of ride . Their new 29 C.C. should be killer at comparable money or less than the Tomcat . I hope that helps .

Thanx Marc.......that was exactly what I was looking for. And yes, the cruising capabilities will be the show stopper. Looks like ordering the tomcat will be the way i go, once my dear wife tells me we have enough money. On the A/C.......do you mean built in or cruise air hatch type? Would a 2K watt Honda quiet run the A/C?
Looking to fish and cruise, maybe out to Bimini and further some holiday. Wife prone to seasickness, but I'll buy her one of those wrist watch thingys from Sharper Image.
