Wefing's Heading to Panama City for The Baypoint Show
We're starting preparations today for the Baypoint In The Water Boat Show this coming weekend. This is our best opportunity so far to show off our signature lines of Pilothouse Boats in their element. We'll have the new Ranger 29 as well as the rest of the Ranger line-up and a good selection of C-Dory Boats all in the water, where they belong.
We love the big indoor shows like New Orleans and Atlanta but nothing can compare to climbing on board a boat at the dock and even getting to go out on a ride on her to give you an immediate and direct experience of how the boat "feels" and what she can do. We loved the Stuart and Miami shows where we had boats in the water and took many people for test rides. However, this show in Panama City is close enough to home for us to take the entire Ranger line as well as a good selection of C-Dory Boats and show them all off in the water where they really do belong.
We'll have one of the Champion Bay Boats and one of the great tournament ready Champion Bass Boats on display too. They will be on their beautiful custom trailers in the area right next to our dockside display, not in the water. However, if you are interested in any of the Champion lineup and would like a demo ride, we're just the ones to provide that for you on the beautiful Apalachicola River and Apalachicola Bay.
We have a lot of work to do to get ready for this show. We're taking a pretty good number of boats there and want them all to look their best, of course, but we are looking forward to it. The venue, Baypoint Marina at the beautiful Bay Point Marriott Resort in Panama City Beach is a very special place. The Marina is one of the most beautiful on the entire Gulf Coast and we are thrilled to be able to display our great lineup of trailerable trawlers and pilothouse boats there.

Introducing the brand new Ranger 29 has been quite a thrill for us this winter. As we move closer to the springtime and our real "boating season" gets ready to kick in, we look forward to taking many people for test rides and putting a few of the beautiful state of the art "Pocket Trawlers" from Ranger Tugs and from C-Dory into some discriminating boater's hands.
Will you be one of those lucky and smart boaters? Come see us and take a ride on one of our great line-up of C-Dories and Rangers this weekend at the Baypoint In The Water Boatshow and we'll help you make up your mind which one is perfect for you.

Where to stay in Franklin County?
We know that many of our friends from out of town travel with their C-Dory or Ranger on-the-water homes with them. However, a lot of folks don't yet have a fully equipped cruiser home and even when you do, sometimes it is nice to hole up in a special spot for a night or two. We'll bring you a selection of some of our favorite local places to do just that from time to time. Also, if you live outside our area and are considering a new boat purchase, please keep our Free Lodging offer in mind.

Sportsman's Lodge.
Sportsman's Lodge Motel and Marina is Bob and Edda Allen's quiet and restful sanctuary, tucked among the oaks on an oyster-strewn, high, sandy bluff overlooking East Bay, part of famous Apalachicola Bay, a fisherman's and boater's paradise.
They have a small private marina and a restaurant, The White Eagle Lodge, on the premises as well as numerous rooms, and cabins, many with waterfront views and all with a large flock of peacocks strutting the grounds. As you can see by the photo, taken at their small and secluded marina, they have a spectacular view of nightly sunsets over Apalachicola Bay.
Rates are reasonable. The rooms are clean and roomy, although they can't quite be described as "ultra-modern" this perhaps adds to their considerable charm. Many of the folks who visit the Sportsman's Lodge come back every year and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else while in our area.

That's it until next issue. Hope to see you at the Baypoint Show but if you can't make that, please come visit us soon. And if nothing else...
We'll see you on the water!
Thanks for your interest.
